Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. After making her feature film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to portray the an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody started modeling after being approached by an experienced photographer. It led to a successful modeling career in the commercial world. Doody strove to avoid glamorous and sexy roles, that was a rule she incorporated into her acting. In 1985, following getting noticed by the directors who were casting the James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody's name appeared within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising new actors of 1986. 38. Doody was only aged 18 at the time of her debut in the Bond character. Today, she is the youngest Bond girl. Her first appearance was in the film Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors that have played James Bond. Doody played the role in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. She then moved to Hollywood. She was replaced by Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's role. In November of 2018, she received the Almeria Tierra de Cine award as well as a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
