Gugulethu Mbatha (better known by the name Gugu-Mbatha Raw) is a British actor and film actress known for her role in the film industry when she was a part of the BBC series "Doctor Who", a British Sci-Fi TV series. Gugu became famous for playing Tish Jones in the series by BBC. The character was twin sister of a character named Martha Jones. Gugu's audiences loved her bright energy and spontaneity. Cancer of the breast was diagnosed in 1989. Her death came a decade following her battle with cancer. Handler is a Jew of the Reform movement, and her father was Jewish. Handler was blessed with a joyful and healthy life in a good neighbourhood. As a teenager, she made the move from the city of Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in acting. To support herself, Handler began to work as an actor. Handler began to do stand-up comedy full-time after she turned 21. Handler had realized that she is gifted at story telling. Handler's professional career started as part of the all-female Oxygen TV cast in the hidden camera/practical comedy reality show Girls Behaving Unsteadily. It aired from 2002 until 2005. The handler started appearing on various other programs such like Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was also a a corresponded for The Tonight Show. Handler was given her first major break in the form of hosting her own E! Show in 2006. The show was titled Chelsea Handler. The show ran for two seasons. Handler appeared on the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour at the American embassy following the season. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all aired her stand-up show. The announcement was made in 2010 that she was to host MTV's Video Music Awards in 2010.
