Amy Carlson

 

Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7 the 7th of July, 1968) is an American actress who is known for her role as Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods, as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap show Another World.



 



 Early life



 Carlson was born in Elmhurst located in DuPage County Illinois], near Chicago and grew up in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, the child of teachers parents, Barbara Jane (Hultman) and Robert Eugene Carlson. Carlson is of Swedish descent and has roots in Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-1992: The College years and the beginning of careers



 She first came to Hollywood as a supporting actor for the film Lucas starring Charlie Sheen and Corey Haim. She later followed her older sister Betsy who attended Knox College in Galesburg.
